Tweeter and Twitter
In 1965, Ted Owens recorded an encounter he said arrived without warning. His account described two insectoid UFO pilots he called Tweeter and Twitter.

Owens’s 1965 account is presented in the case record as the first on-record claim of insectoid UFO pilots, before such figures entered popular culture. He preserved the account in writing and made a crayon drawing of the beings he said had contacted him.
Owens described grasshopper-headed humanoid forms with triangular heads, eyes set at the sides and pointed noses. He named the two figures Tweeter and Twitter. The two images shown here are artist illustrations based on Owens’s 1965 crayon drawing. They are not archival images.
According to Owens, the contact was instantaneous — as quickly, he said, as putting a picture-slide into a projector. He did not describe himself as the source of what followed. He called himself only “the spark,” attributing the claimed phenomena to the Space Intelligences he believed were communicating through him.
